Beef-N-Cabbage
Ingredients:- 1 pound extra lean ground beef
- 1 teaspoon granulated onion
- 1 teaspoon granulated garlic
- 1 teaspoon ground cumin
- 1 tablespoon chili powder
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 ounces onion, chopped
- 6 ounces cabbage, chopped
- 8 ounces canned diced tomatoes, drained
Preparation:
Brown the ground meat, spices, and onion in a skillet. Drain. Return the meat mixture to the pan. Add the chopped cabbage. Cover and allow the cabbage to steam (about 5 minutes). Stir in the drained tomatoes and simmer for 5 minutes.
Makes 4 servings.
