Bunless Chicken Burger
Ingredients:
- 1 pound extra lean ground chicken breast
- 1 tablespoon spicy brown mustard
- 1 teaspoon dried basil
- 1/2 teaspoon granulated onion
- 1/2 teaspoon granulated garlic
- 1/8 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 8 lettuce leaves (romaine or leaf lettuce work best)
- Garnishes (onion, tomato, cucumber, etc.)
Preparation:
Combine ground chicken, mustard, basil, onion, garlic, and pepper in a bowl. Mix well. Form into 4 patties. Place patties in a pre-heated pan on the stovetop. Cook patties until chicken completely done and is no longer pink in the middle. Place each patty on one lettuce leaf. Top with desired garnishes and second lettuce leaf.
Makes 4 burger patties
